Programs · Holiday camp

A week in Zanzibar that changes how a child sees the world.

Every year, Fruitful Orphanage organises a summer holiday camp in Zanzibar for 20 children aged 11 to 13 — a chance to discover new places, build friendships, learn life skills and enjoy experiences that would otherwise stay out of reach.

How the camp works

Small groups. Familiar faces. Real safety.

Each mentor is responsible for a group of five children, so every child has close support, guidance and safety throughout the week.

20 children

Aged 11–13, chosen from our home for a week away from daily routine.

4 youth mentors

Young adults who grew up in the orphanage and now guide the next generation.

2 responsible adults

A social worker and a senior caregiver from the home, present at all times.

Activities

Learning, playing and growing — every single day.

The camp combines education, recreation and personal development. Mornings are active; afternoons creative; evenings quiet and shared.

Support the camp

Help create unforgettable experiences and brighter futures.

Every contribution helps a child swim in the ocean for the first time, learn how to protect it, and come home with the confidence that they belong in the wider world.
